I had created this video to kick off the opening day of the conference.
The Digital CPA Conference 2021 or DCPA21, was developed to provide forward-thinking accounting firms and individuals with a resource for expanding their knowledge in our digital world.
Aside from keynotes, sessions and learning labs, this annual event, is also a way for CPAs to connect with like-minded accountants while building lasting relationships
My charge was to design a tech-forward conference brand that carries a strong identity while integrating with its sponsor’s (CPA.com) family of brands
I started the creative development by building consensus around a single theme
Theme names were brainstormed based on brand promise, insights, creativity and attendee experience. Imagery and typographic treatments were applied to a small selection of the DCPA21 team’s favorite concept directions
The top three themes were then explored further through examples of communications such as web pages and displays. This demonstrated how each theme would function
“Leading the way” became the winning theme for the conference
Colorful, translucent arrows, streams of light and other design elements served as the perfect backdrop to demonstrate leadership and moving forward
Once the theme and overall look and feel had been established:
I began creating a series of turn-key communication templates
These templates integrated seamlessly with the marketing team’s communication platforms
Integrated designs for advertising and marketing materials followed
Many of the messages and design elements that were created for the web template below were repurposed throughout the campaign
Creating DCPA21 recognition and continuity through fonts, graphics, colors and voice
Building the conference narrative at every touch point
